NAME •
"rose lydia weasley, it is quite short, and i like it that way. pleased to make your acquaintance. i suppose rose is following on the flower trend that seemed to interwined with the potter and weasley families, me and lily apparently being so-called 'flowers'. lydia is the name of my maternal grandmother. mum won over dad for lydia being my middle name, instead of molly since percy had already claimed it for his daughter's name. and weasley is my last name. yes, i know. another weasley. you'll just have to live with it, now won't you?"
NICKNAMES •
"rosie, strictly by my close friends and family, it's one of those dearly affectionate nicknames that you can never really get rid of. i've kind of gotten used to it though, you would when you've got your erhm, wonderful cousins screaming 'ROSIEEEE' at the top of their lungs half the time. no-one else however 'rosie's me unless they have death wish, rose will do just fine but i've probably acquired some less than flattering nicknames over the past couple of years, no clue to how many- go ask all the slytherins i've stuck in detention"
GENDER •
"in case you're blind, or can't tell the difference, i can assure you that i am a female. one hundred percent female."
AGE •
"if you can do the math, you'll see that i'm seventeen. nothing much to add there."
YEAR •
"i'm starting my seventh, and final year at hogwarts come september first. another ten months, and i'm off into the real world."
HOUSE •
"the noble house of gryffindor. guess you saw it coming. both my parents and the generations of weasleys before my dad were in gryffindor, and i couldn't escape fate. even though some of my cousins did. i don't mind though. at least now slytherins have more of a reason to hate me than just my being a weasley."
BLOOD •
"halfblood, my dad's a pureblood and my mother was apparantly the most smart-arsed witch of her generation and she's a muggleborn, proving that really, blood, it doesn't matter. in fact, you know muggles? they're pretty damn brilliant too. ask my grandad he'd be more than happy to tell you all about, trust me."
SEXUALITY •
"hetero, unfortunately (it can be a real pain in the ass sometimes) it's boys, specifically teenage boys so yeah, i really got the lucky draw on that one"
WAND •
"ever since i first went shopping in diagon alley for my school stuff, i've had the same wand. thirteen inches, cheery blossom wood, with a dragon scale at the core. just try to imagine uncle charlie's happiness when he learned that i actually carried a dragon scale with me. anyhow. apparently it's supposed to be really good for transfiguration, though i can't really tell if that's true."
CANON OR ORIGINAL? • canon.

- spiders; those eight-legged creepers scare me so bad. i can see how dad hates them so much!
- death of my family; i love my family to death, and i couldn't stand to see anyone of them hurt, let alone dead.
GOALS •
"my goals? who are you my mother? anyhow. my goals would be to ace my n.e.w.t.s, so that i can get a decent job later on in my life. my second goal at the moment would be to become a healer at st.mungo's. as for a third goal, i guess you could say it would be to find myself the perfect guy. i may not be much of a romantic, but even i don't want to end up living alone with twenty-seven cats."
PATRONUS •
"my happiest memory? the one i use to conjure my patronus? it was when i got my wand in diagon alley- i don't know how to explain it but i never felt more part of the magical world than i did then and it was amazing, i thought for a split second that i was really magical like i could do really wonderful things. my patronus is a white fox. i don't really understand it to be honest. i mean i would expect it to have some sort of reddish tinge to it, not white. plus i'm not exactly cunning, or sneaky. it doesn't really fit me personally, but i have heard rumors that your patronus takes the form of your soulmate once you meet them....though they are just rumors.
BOGGART •
"losing the people i care about, and losing myself. not as in, i got lost on the school grounds can you help me? kind of lost, but the kind of lost where i don't know who i am anymore, where i don't recognise what i see in the mirror, my boggart itself is seeing my family dead and bleeding though, with me just watching- like i was helpless to save them"
AMORTENTIA •
"the smell of the rain, and i don't care who says the rain doesn't smell, their senses are obviously not as heightened as erm, rain-smellers are? yeah, rain combined with the sweet hot smell of coffee and orchids. oh and a dash of some really nice men's cologne too"
PERSONALITY •
difficult to foretell or foresee[/i]
rose weasley, the elusive good girl of the weasley clan. elusive because above all things, she is unpredictable. someone who is easy to love but will hold such things at an arm's length, rose can be equally hot as she can be cold. a logical, rational form of decision making and approach to life has always been the touchstone of her character, one that she quickly tries to lapse back to when the rest of the world is so uncertain. so yes, she does have a little bit of control freak in her but it's more about controlling herself than it is other people, though she does like to take charge ('if i'm not going to do it, who will?') but otherwise is fairly laid-back when it comes to most things. that is, unless of course you really do push her buttons and get the wrong results. rose may be the more level-headed weasley but it doesn't mean she has a docile temper, far from it, she's good at keeping it under a lid most of the time but when she's truly angry- it's like a white hot flame, cool and unforgiving. safe to say, you don't want her holding a grudge against you because you can bet your life that she won't forget it.
wit·ty
possessing or demonstrating wit in speech or writing; very clever and humorous
rose has got a quick tongue for sure, an underrated firecracker if there ever was one and it can get in her into trouble with the wrong sorts of people but rose likes to think she's being honest, after all, there is always some truth in jest right? a scholarly intelligence has always been what she is known for, rose is someone who appreciates the arts in all the forms and is always avidly curious to learn more about them though she also has a rigid practicality about her. her down-to-earth pragmatic nature being what makes her good at what she does, she has the ability to become calmer as situations worsen and apply her knowledge where it is needed. not that her detachment makes her cold, although rose pays too little attention to inner politics and dramatics but nevertheless she has somewhat of an off-beat charm that is appealing, or if anything lets her pass with the copious amounts of dry sarcasm she uses on a daily basis. not that she isn't serious when she needs to be, she most definately takes her work seriously- but usually she just can't help herself, hence why she laughs at the most inappropriate moments (more of a comic relief than much else) and is pretty much the queen of bad timings.
clum·sy
lacking physical coordination, skill, or grace; awkward.
rose can also, unfortunately, attract trouble where it is really unwanted, mostly because she herself possessing no centre of gravity whatsoever. a graceful elegant poise has been drilled into her since she learned to walk but has had little effect, that along with a magnetic pull towards danger will most likely be her downfall. she has a secret envy for those who can be so effortless with their appeareance and all, sure she looks neat and smart most of the time but it takes rose a considerable amount of effort- especially taming her hair and it's never been natural for her to have a lady-like grace. as a friend, she is a good listener with a wisdom beyond her years though at times she scarcely listens to her own advice and she is yet to learn patience with a disturbingly steep learning curve. she does still, however have a clumsy way with words that is so starkingly different to her usual manner when she's in, erm, embarassing situations. rose fears not only public humiliation but also failure, and when she gets nervous, well a flight of stairs (especially moving ones) are not so much a good idea. plus with her colouring, a scarlet bloom of a blush across her cheeks is hard not to miss.
wil·ful
obstinately bent on having one's own way.
ah yes, rose has a terribly wilful stubborn streak to her personality which off sets her usually level-headed logical trail of thought, she doesn't like to be helped as her stubborn nature comes hand in hand with her fierce independence which can make her a little difficult to deal with at times, especially when she disagrees. her dignity is something that rose values very highly and hence why she's made sure to keep it so well-guarded, if anything can get her heated into a particularly intense debate it's if someone questions it or tries to degrade anyone she cares about. rose's trust isn't easily earned but once earned, comes along with a powerful unspoken loyalty to those she considers to be her dear friends. rose would easily rather die than betray them, for her trust and faith once lost, is indeed lost forever. she can be slightly insensitive, though usually not on purpose, for someone with the brain capacity she has, she doesn’t always think about things before they escape from her lips. though seemingly rather shy at first, rose can hold conversation if not spontaneously start one with anybody and everybody as she's always been the type to hate awkward silences. rose likes to be on top of her game twenty four seven. her curiosity has got the best of her sometimes though; she’s always been a little too nosy about the world around her and always wants to learn everything she can.[/ul]

[/s] so although i would never admit it, i really didn't want to disappoint him again, i knew mum was a less prejudiced towards the malfoys but dad was probably never going to totally let it go, not to mention almost everyone else in the family shared the same view, and it was mainly on and off the quidditch pitch. i didn't play, and i rooted for both ravenclaw and gryffindor (seeing as the team was practically made up entirely of weasleys and potters).HOMETOWN •
"godric's hollow, we've still got those mega powerful wards set up by the potters from long ago and the charming neighborhood, i love the place to bits and practically everyone knows eachother, muggles and wizards alike."
CURRENT RESIDENCE •
"we've moved to otterdy st. catchpole when i was around five, because that was when grandmother molly asked one of her kids to move closer home 'in case anything happened to her'. course, dad was the one that got stuck with the responsibility. he always does get stuck with these tasks...."
FATHER •
"ronald bilius weasley. but if you're not mum, then call him ron. he's erm...fourty one! and no, i didn't forget it. i was just making you think i did. but anyways. he's a pureblood, though most consider him a blood traitor. he's second in command at the auror headquarters, behind uncle harry."
MOTHER •
"hermione jean granger-weasley. mum hates it when we add weasley to her name, but i kinda have to since she married dad, no? she's about to turn fourty two on september nineteenth, though for the moment she's still fourty one. she's muggleborn, but it doesn't make much of a difference since she's apparently the brightest witch of her age. and since you asked, she works for the ministry, currently in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."
SIBLINGS •
"no. oh wait, sorry forgot about darling hugo, he's fifteen and a gryffindor student."
PETS •
"we've still got crookshanks, the part-kneazle cat, yes- he's still bloody alive but we all love him (well except for dad, he has a mutually tolerable realtionship with crooks). though for hogwarts, my dad actually got me my own cat. a full blooded cat, i must add. i called it honey, because it's fur is the same color as honey. when hugo came along to hogwarts, we got a royal owl so that it was easier to keep contact with mum and dad. hugo and i agreed to call it chicken. but i only agreed to it because he was going to pull a fit if i didn't."
FAMILY HISTORY •
i became a prefect in my fifth year, which didn't make me amazingly popular you could say for the first couple of weeks but eh they got over it. it toughened me up too, not always caring what other people think and all, i made sure i was fair of judgement so i don't really give a shit if people think i'm uptight or whatnot..although not a complete rulebook sticker like my mum, i always made sure not to abuse any privelages i was given. and plus, i hate liars, you would not believe the seriously skewed kind of excuses i got when i 'discovered' people on patrol- 'yeah, erm i was helping her get a bit of pumpkin out of her teeth'. aha sureee thing. i did well on my o.w.ls, straight o's and i'm damn glad since i did sort of slave over them (you practically lived in the library, rose would be what my brother would say). i had my first boyfriend in that year too, so yeah it was more than a little bit hectic, he was a ravenclaw and it was good for a first relationship (i mean..it could have been worse), mutually amicable break up or whatever, not that it stopped the poor boy being hexed for forty-eight hours straight by some very unhelpful cousins.
in terms of relationships, the real drama-fuelled ones came in my sixth year. i guess you could say i went through a bit of a transition from being a more polite sort of girl to not taking anyone's crap and it probably was the aftermath of some messy break-ups. that combined with exam stress didn't bode too well for my sanity. safe to say, it's pretty amazing how we all kept it together last year. now, the whole ominous future thing seems closer than ever, what do i want to do when i graduate this year? well i definately want to try and get into one of st.mungo's healer programs. i have the grades for it, and i love to help out people. name me one job that is better fitted for that than a healer.
the summer of my sixth year, i recieved a letter for my head-girl ship. i was pretty wowed actually, i thought as a prefect- yeah i guess i was a candidate but there were so many other people who were pretty darn exceptional y'know? mum and dad were really happy, and well dad wouldn't stop harping on about it (it's was pretty embarassing to say the least) and i did decide to celebrate, indulge in the summer a little 'cause i knew coming back i'd have a crap load of responsibilities. i wasn't wrong. i mean i knew having a shiny badge didn't guarentee the good times but with things as turbulent as they are right about now, with all these rumours and such like, it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep a level head. that along with inter-house unity being more strained than it's ever been, i want to be a good role-model, be someone that people can depend on- i've always been the kind of person whose had a logical, calm train of thought in the worst situations. chaos hasn't struck yet, but it feels like there is this very calm before a storm that's brewing on the horizon, you feel like you don't want to be in the middle-ground where everything is so grey when the lines between what is right and what is wrong are becoming increasingly more blurred."[/ul]

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE •July. The month in which every Weasley [and Potter] went off to Grandmother Molly's place until the younger ones had to go back to Hogwarts. It was a tradition in the family, and if you weren't there you either had to be dieing, or dead. Which explained why even at twenty-four, Dominique still found herself at the Burrow on July first, in company of her entire family. Being one of the oldest Weasley 'kid' meant that she was the one stuck looking after the younger ones while the 'adults' either prepared the food or sat around talking. It had been like this ever since Dominique turned 11 and was found responsible enough to take of all her cousins. Her sister had never been too keen to do so, so the adults put her in charge.
Though for the first year, this specific detail was no where near Dominique's mind. Instead, she could only think about everything her mother had told her not to forget to do once she arrived at the Burrow. "Mum! I won't forget alright? I have to tell Gran you, dad, and Louis won't be there for a while until you finally manage to convince Louis to come, which might take a while considering he won't leave his precious, sublime and wonderful bed." she said imitating her younger brother. Ever since her parents had bought Louis his new bed a month back, he had plain out refused to go sleep anywhere else but at home all summer long.
Before her mother could 'remind' her of anything else, Dominique had turned around and headed up the stairs to her bedroom, where her suitcases awaited her. Without so much as a glance around, Dominique took her three suitcases in her arms and hands and headed back downstairs. As she entered the kitchen, she saw her father reading the morning's paper - like usual - her sister, Victoire, and her sister's boyfriend, Teddy Lupin. "Well, I'm off. Bye dad," she said giving him a hug, ”and Toire, I think I would keep down the love with lover boy over here.” she said with a small grin toward her sister. All her sister did was stick out her tongue, knowing full well that Dominique was only teasing her. After all, it had always been Louis who drove their parents nuts.
Dominique made sure she had everything, and with a final shout to her mum, headed out into the backyard. Their closest neighbours weren’t for miles, but she wanted to make sure that a random muggle wasn’t passing by at the precise moment. She visualized the Burrow’s backyard in her head, spun around on the spot and disappeared with a loud crack.
The next thing she knew, she was standing in the Burrow's orchard, not too far from the house itself. She made sure she had everything, was still in one piece, and then proceeded to walk toward the house. "Hey Nana!" she said as she opened the door with slight difficulty. "Dominique honey! I haven't seen you in forever!" Dominique was slightly taken aback by her grandmother's words. She had been over just yesterday to help make sure the rooms were ready. Was her grandmother starting to lose her mind? She decided to ignore it though, not wanting to spoil anything. "Sure Nana. Whatever you say." she replied with a smile. She hugged her, gave her a quick kiss and started heading upstairs to see what had already happened.
At about midway up the stairs, Dominique suddenly realized that something wasn't right. The usual smell of the Borrow wasn't as present here as it usually was. Come to think of it, it wasn't here at all! Instead, the 'new smell' was quite unpleasant, and there was some green smoke in the air. Dominique rolled her eyes, with a slight grin on her face, knowing that it could only mean one thing. Roxy was here. She continued her way up the stairs, trying her best not to sniff the smell, and made her way toward the room she always got stuck sharing with her sister and whoever was a visitor at the place, this year being Teddy Lupin. Louis usually roomed with the boys, and all her other female cousins shared a room. Lucky them. Dominique put all her bags on the top bunk, and instead of unpacking -like she should have been- she quickly made her way across the hallway toward the girl's room.
Before she had a chance to enter it though, she heard shouts from the next room. The one voice that she heard the most was easily identifiable as Hugo's. He was fighting with someone. About...a top bunk? Dominique tried her best not to laugh. Every year it was always the same fight that happened between Hugo and Albus. Hugo wanted the top bunk, but it had always been Al's and the two fought together for it. Albus always ended up winning. She shook her head slightly before finally opening the door and looking at only two girls. Lily and Rose. Though she did notice that Alexis' things were on her bed. "Hey Lily, Rose." she greeted with a smile.
