This is the main gathering place for all of Hogwarts. Meals are served and eaten here, events are held here, and students receive their mail as well. With an enchanted ceiling and plenty of long tables, it's a wonderful place to meet with friends, unless you're in the middle of an exam held here.

Broom Closet

A broom closet. How exciting. It'll make a good hiding place, but it really isn't good for much else, except maybe storing brooms.

Classrooms, offices, closets, you name it. In fact, the only part of the ground floor that students usually want to be in is the Great Hall, because most classes aren't that exciting.
